6 bunch fresh mint leaves
2 teaspoon sugar
2 tablespoons bourbon
1 Cup crushed ice
1 bunch fresh mint sprig

Preparation / Directions:

Put the mint leaves and the sweetener in the bottom of a heavy glass. Crush the leaves with a wooden spoon. Add the bourbon and ice and stir to blend the ingredients. Garnish the Mint Julep cocktail with the mint sprig and enjoy. NOTE: You should stir the ice around in the glass for a while so frost will form on the outside of the glass. VARIATIONS: Vodka, rum and gin all make excellent Juleps. Makes 1 cocktail.
