Tomato And Green-Onion Salad Citronette

Ingredients:


2 tablespoons lemon juice - fresh

1 tablespoon water

1/4 teaspoon mustard - powdered

1/8 teaspoon black pepper - freshly ground

1/8 teaspoon thyme

1 large e tomato - cut in 6 slices

1/4 cup green onion - chopped
 

Preparation / Directions:


In a bowl combine the lemon juice, water, mustard, pepper, and thyme to make the Citronette Dressing. Set aside. Arrange 3 tomato slices on each plate and sprinkle with the green onions. Pour on the Citronette dressing and serve. NOTE: Citronette comes from the French "citron," meaning lemon; Vinaigrette comes from the French "Vinaigre" for vinegar. VARIATION: Try lime juice in place of the lemon for a very summery taste.
