Meatloaf Burgers (A Basic Burger Recipe)

Ingredients:


1 slices bread slice

1/4 cup milk

1/2 pound ground veal

1/4 pound ground pork

3/4 pound lean ground beef

1 large egg

1 tablespoon ketchup

2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon mustard

1 tablespoon onion

4 pieces hamburger bun
 

Preparation / Directions:


Soak the bread in the milk and set aside. With your hands, mix the ground meats together with the egg, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard and onion. Mix in the soaked bread. Form into 4 patties. Grill or broil 4 inches from a high fire until browned and cooked to a desired degree of doneness. Cook approximately 8 minutes per side, until browned and firm. For the last 2 minutes of grilling, place the buns, cut sides down, on the grill to toast the interior surfaces lightly. Serve the burgers on the toasted buns.
