Chocolate Cream Cheese Brownies

Ingredients:


1 cup butter or margarine -- softened

1 package cream cheese -- 3oz,softened

2 cups sugar

3 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

3/4 cup hersheys cocoa

1/4 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup chopped nuts

3 tablespoons butter or margarine -- softened

3 tablespoons hersheys cocoa

1 tablespoons light corn syrup or honey

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup confectioners sugar

1 tablespoons milk -- to 2 tablespoons
 

Preparation / Directions:


Heat oven to 325 degrees. Grease bottom of rectangular pan, 13 x 9 x 2 inches. In large mixer bowl cream butter, cream cheese and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture until well blended. Stir in nuts. Spread batter evenly in prepared pan. Bake 35 to 40 minutes or just until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan. Cool completely in pan; frost with creamy brownie frosting. Cut into squares. About 36 brownies. CREAMY BROWNIE FROSTING: In small mixer bowl cream butter, cocoa, corn syrup and vanilla. Add confectioner's sugar and milk; beat to spreading consistency. About 1 cup frostin
