1 cup cornmeal (white or yellow)
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Preparation / Directions:

Rub in: 2 tbs. margarine, butter or bacon fat (in increasing order of preference) until it is crumb-like Mix in: 1/3 - 1/2 cup water or milk until it is at a dropping consistency Fry in a hot frying pan by spoonfuls in margarine, butter or bacon fat Good with Maple syrup, honey, jam etc., with or without extra butter!
