Sesame Toasts

1 1/2 cups butter -- 3 sticks
2 cloves garlic -- crushed
1/3 teaspoon thyme
1 teaspoon salt and pepper to taste
1 cup sesame seed
2 loaf italian or french bread -- cut 3/4 inch slices

Preparation / Directions:

Melt butter with garlic, thyme and salt and pepper. Remove and discard garlic. Cut two loaves into slices and dip into mixture. Spread sesame seed on sheet of wax paper, roll the bread crusts in seed and sprinkle one side of each slice with sesame seed. Put seeded side up on a baking sheet, bake middle 400 oven for 25-30 minutes until lightly toasted.
