Herb Buttered Bread

Ingredients:


2 tablespoons butter or margarine

1 teaspoon minced shallots or green onion

1 teaspoon finely minced parsley

1/8 teaspoon tarragon leaves

1/8 teaspoon basil leaves

1/8 teaspoon oregano leaves

1/8 teaspoon marjoram leaves

2 slices bread
 

Preparation / Directions:


Melt butter in a small saucepan. Stir in shallots and saute briefly, but do not brown. Remover from flame. Stir in parsley, tarragon, basil, oregano, and marjoram. Spread on bread. Toast in a gas broiler until bubbly and lightly browned.
