Main dish casserole
 

Ingredients:


2 tablespoons butter or margarine

2 large sliced onions

1/2 pound sliced mushrooms

1/2 cup diced celery

1/2 cup diced green bell peppers

1 teaspoon garlic minced

1 pound ground beef

16 ounces can tomato sauce

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

8 ounces cooked elbow macaroni

8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
 

Preparation / Directions:


Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In large skillet melt butter or margarine over medium-high heat. Add onions, mushrooms, celery, green pepper and garlic. Cook, stirring, until vegetables are softened, about 10 minutes. Add beef and cook until it loses its pink color. Stir in cooked macaroni, then cheese. Spoon into a 13x9-inch baking dish. Bake uncovered 30 minutes.
