Grandma Evelyn's "Very Good" Jumble-Aya

Ingredients:


1 pound ground beef

1 medium onion -- thinly sliced

2 cups cubed potatoes

2 tablespoons butter or margarine

1 can condensed tomato soup

1/2 cup water

1 teaspoon salt and pepper
 

Preparation / Directions:


Cook beef, onion and potatoes in butter or margarine until lightly browned. Stir in remaining ingredients. If you like, season further with a dash of thyme or oregano and worchestershire sauce. Turn into a casserole, cover and bake for about 50 minutes in moderate oven, 350 degrees or until potatoes are tender. Or cover kettle and cook slowly on top of stove for about fifteen minutes. If desired, add 1 to 1 1/2 cups whole kernle corn to this dish to make it a complete main course.
