Boston Style Beans

Ingredients:


1 pound dried navy beans

6 cups water

1 1/2 teaspoons dry mustard

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1 tablespoon salt

1 large onion -- chopped

1/4 cup brown sugar -- packed

1/4 cup molasses

1/2 cup catsup

3 tablespoons minced salt pork or bacon
 

Preparation / Directions:


Sort beans; discard broken or discolored beans. Place beans into crockpot. Add remaining ingredients. Mix thoroughly. Cover and cook at 300 degrees F for 10 to 12 hours, stirring occasionally.
