Cranberry Cheese Bars

Ingredients:


2 cups all-purpose flour

1 1/2 cups quick-cooking or old-fashioned oats -- uncooked

3/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar -- divided

1 tablespoon firmly packed light brown sugar

1 cup butter -- softened

1 3/4 cups mandm chocolate mini baking bits -- divided

8 ounces cream cheese

14 ounces sweetened condensed milk

1/4 cup lemon juice

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 tablespoons cornstarch

1 whole berry cranberry sauce -- (16 ounces)
 

Preparation / Directions:


Preheat oven to 350F. Lightly grease 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan; set aside. In large bowl combine flour, oats, 3/4 cup sugar and butter; mix until crumbly. Reserve 1 1/2 cups crumb mixture for topping. Stir 1/2 cup "MandM's", Chocolate Mini Baking Bits into remaining crumb mixture; press into prepared pan. Bake 15 minutes. Cool completely. In large bowl beat cream cheese until light and fluffy; gradually mix in condensed milk, lemon juice and vanilla until smooth. Pour evenly over crust. In small bowl combine remaining 1 tablespoon sugar, cornstarch and cranberry sauce. Spoon over cream cheese mixture. Stir remaining 1 1/4 cups "MandM's" Chocolate Mini Baking Bits into reserved crumb mixture. Sprinkle over cranberry mixture. Bake 40 minutes. Cool at room temperature; refrigerate before cutting. Store in refrigerator in tightly covered container. Makes 32 b
