Caramel Chocolate Squares

Ingredients:

50 pieces Caramels (14 oz. pkg)
1 package German chocolate cake mix
2/3 cup Evaporated milk
3/4 cup Butter
1 cup Pecans
1 cup Chocolate chips
 

Preparation / Directions:

Melt caramels with one third cup of evaporated milk. In a bowl, combine cake mix, butter, 1/3 cup evaporated milk, and nuts. Stir by hand. Press half of the dough into a 9 by 13" baking pan. Bake at 350 for 6 to 8 minutes. Sprinkle chocolate chips over crust. Spread caramel mix over chips. Crumble remaining dough and spoon over the caramel mix. Return to bake for 15 to 20 minutes. Cool slightly. Refrigerate 15 minutes and cut into squares.
