Preparation / Directions:*peel apples, core, and cut each into 8 wedges
Brush 2 tablespoons softened butter on bottom and about 6 inches up sides of slow-cooker. Peel sweet potatoes; cut into 1/2-inch crosswise slices. Place on bottom of slow-cooker. Top with apple wedges; then nutmeg, maple syrup and melted butter. Cover and cook on Low 3 1/2 to 4 hours or until tender. Sprinkle with pecans, if desired.
