Microwaved Beets

Ingredients:


1 pound beets

2 tablespoons water
 

Preparation / Directions:


Pierce skin of whole beets. Put in microwave dish. Add water. Cover. Cook on High for 9 to 12 minutes giving the dish a half turn halfway through cooking. Let stand 5 minutes. After cooking, cool, remove skin under running water. Check for doneness at the end of the minimum time given. Times are approximate because vegetables vary in shape, size, and age.
