Tempting Tuna Bake

Ingredients:


8 slices white bread

1 cup shredded Swiss cheese

1 can tuna -- drained and flaked (7 oz.)

1/4 cup chopped green onions

1/4 cup chopped celery

2 tablespoons butter or margarine

2 cups milk

2 large eggs -- slightly beaten

1/2 teaspoon salt
 

Preparation / Directions:


Alternate layers of bread and cheese in well buttered 9 inch square baking dish. Begin with bread and end with cheese. Sprinkle tuna over all. In small saucepan, cook onion and celery in butter until vegetables are tender. Remove from heat. Blend with milk, eggs and salt. Pour mixture over tuna in baking dish. Bake at 350F until puffy and lightly browned.
