The Vegetarian Restaurant's's Tofu Burger

Ingredients:


2 pieces firm tofu -- (1000g and 125g)

1/2 medium carrot -- grated

1/2 medium minced yellow onion

1/2 cup catsup

1/4 cup prepared mustard

3 tablespoons tamari

1/2 tablespoons lemon juice

2 tablespoons dried copped parsley

1 tablespoons chili

1 tablespoons paprika

1 tablespoons bail

1 tablespoons garlic powder

1 teaspoon salt

1 1/2 cups bread crumbs
 

Preparation / Directions:


1. Process 125g piece of tofu in food processor until smooth. Grate remaining tofu. combine all tofu with remaing ingredients. add more bread crumbs if needed to make the mixture firm enough to shape. 2. Form mixture into pappties Place in lightly oiled skillet and brown on both sides. Serve burgers with hore radish mayonnaise. Makes 10 to 12 medium-sized servings. 3. Debroah Kolodny, head chef at the resturant, says that this simple, quick recipe is ideal for those who are just becoming familliar with vegetarian cooking.
