Saucepan Stuffing - Mountain Fuel

Ingredients:


1 tablespoons dried celery flakes

2 teaspoons dried minced onion

2 teaspoons dried parsley leaves -- crushed

1 teaspoon chicken bouillon

1 teaspoon ground sage or poultry seasoning

1/8 teaspoon pepper

1 1/4 cups water

3 tablespoons butter or margarine

4 cups dried 1/2 inch bread cubes
 

Preparation / Directions:


To make seasoning mixture, combine celery flakes, minced onion, parsley leaves, chicken bouillon, sage and pepper in small mixing bowl. Combine seasoning mixture, water and butter in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce flame and simmer 5 minutes. Stir in bread cubes. Cook over low flame 1 to 2 minutes until liquid is absorbed, stirring constantly. Cover; remove from flame. Let stand 5 minutes before serving. Yield: 4 to 6 servings. NOTE: The seasoning mixture can be placed in a 6 inch square of heavy duty foil. Fold to make an airtight package. Label with date and contents. Store in a cool dry place. Use within 6 months.
