Mushroom Stuffing

Ingredients:


2/3 cup margarine or butter

2 medium celery stalks chopped (1 cup)

1 medium onion finely chopped (1/2 cup)

1 pound mushrooms sliced (6 cups)

8 cups unseasoned croutons

1 tablespoons sage, thyme or marjoram leaves chopped fresh or 1 teaspoon dried

1 teaspoon poultry seasoning

1/2 teaspoon pepper
 

Preparation / Directions:


1. Melt margarine in 4-quart Dutch oven over medium heat. Cook celery, onion and mushrooms in margarine about 3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender. 2. Stir in half of the croutons. Cook, stirring frequently, until evenly mixed and croutons are softened. Stir in remaining croutons and ingredients.
