Squash Puffs

Ingredients:


1 Cup squash -- cooked

1 large egg -- beaten

1/3 Cup flour

1/3 Cup cornmeal

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt -- or more

1 dash pepper

1 medium onion -- grated

1 1/2 Cup cooking oil
 

Preparation / Directions:


Combine squash and egg. Add all other ingredients except oil and mix=20 until well blended. Heat oil for deep frying. Drop batter by level=20 tablespoonful into hot oil. Deep fry until golden brown. Drain on paper=20 towels.
