Spicy Black Bean Spread

1 can black beans -- (15 ounces) rinsed, drained
1 can diced green chilies -- (4 ounces) drained
3 cloves garlic cloves -- minced
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 cup canned vegetable or chicken stock -- (1/4 to 1/2)
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1 loaf baguette slices -- assorted crackers

Preparation / Directions:

Combine black beans, green chilies, garlic and cumin in processor and process to thick paste. With processor running, add enough broth to make mixture spreadable. Stir in cilantro. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve with baguette slices and crackers. Prep Time: 8 minutes Makes: About 2 cups. This is a great appetizer for parties or topping for tacos and tostados.
