Salmon Soup

Ingredients:


1 quart water

1 large ginger root cut into 1-inch pieces

1 medium yam cut into 1 1/4-inch squares

1 fillet salmon head and salmon fillet sliced into 1/2-inch thickness

1/2 teaspoon Salt (to taste)

2 teaspoon red wine (optional)
 

Preparation / Directions:


Boil water in a large saucepan and add ginger and yam pieces. Let boil for 20 minutes and then add salmon head and fillet. Boil for another 10 to 15 minutes. Add salt to taste and red wine for adults only.

Tip: Salmon head can be cut in half—ask your fishmonger to do it for you.
