Green Kelsey Plum Sorbet

Ingredients:


2 1/2 pounds green kelsey plums

1 dash salt

1 tablespoons lemon juice

2 tablespoons grand marnier -- cointreau, tuaca or other orange liqueur

3/4 cup simple syrup
 

Preparation / Directions:


Wash, peel and pit the plums. Place in a nonreactive pot with the salt, lemon juice and liqueur. Cook until soft, stirring often so that the plums do not scorch. Cool, pur‚e, combine with simple syrup and freeze.
