Shrimp Balls

Ingredients:


1 Pound Raw Shrimp, Shelled

1/3 Cup Water Chestnuts

3 Slices Fresh Bread

1 large egg slightly beaten

2 Teaspoons Minced Scallions

1/4 Teaspoon Salt

2 cups Oil For Deep Frying
 

Preparation / Directions:


Assemble and attach food grinder using fine grinding plate. Turn to speed 4 and grind shrimp, water chestnuts, and bread into bowl. Add egg, scallions, and salt. Attach bowl and flat beater. Turn to speed 2 and mix 1 minute. Heat 1/2-inch oil in heavy skillet to 375 F. Form shrimp mixture into 1-inch balls. Fry in hot oil a few at a time until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Serve hot with soy sauce and hot chinese mustard.
