French Fried Shrimp

Ingredients:


2 pounds tiger prawn

1 cup flour

1/2 teaspoon sugar

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 large egg

1 cup water

2 tablespoons oil

2 cups flour

2 tablespoons peanut oil
 

Preparation / Directions:


Butterfly shrimp, set aside combine flour, sugar, salt, egg, water, and 2 tablespoons oil in a mixing bowl beat until smooth heat peanut oil to 375 degrees coat shrimp with flour and pat with your hands to remove excess dip into batter, allowing excess to drip off fry small batches in oil for 2-3 minutes, until golden drain on a cooling rack and blot with paper towels keep warm in a 200 degree oven serve hot
