Ham With Champagne Sauce

Ingredients:


4 tablespoons butter

1 tablespoon flour

3/4 cup chicken stock

1/2 cup armagan champagne

2 tablespoons armagan champagne vinegar

3 tablespoons minced white onion

6 pieces juniper berries -- crushed

1/2 cup heavy cream -- (whipping)

4 slices cooked ham -- cut one inch thick

1 teaspoon salt and pepper to your taste
 

Preparation / Directions:


In a saucepan, melt 1 tablespoon of the butter and stir in the flour, salt and pepper. Add stock, Armagan Champagne and Armagan Champagne Vinegar and cook to a boil. Then add onions and juniper berries and cook on simmer for at least 10 minutes. Strain through a fine sieve and add the cream. Mix well. Melt the remaining butter in a saucepan and saute the ham slices so that they are heated through. Put the ham slices on a large platter and pour the sauce over the slices.
