Ingredients:


2 1/2 pounds lean ground chuck

1 cup chopped onion ( about 1 large)

1 cup chopped green sweet pepper ( about 1 large )

1 cup chopped celery

2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish

24 ounce tomato sauce

1 tablespoon olive oil

1/4 cup water

1 cup ketchup

2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon garlic powder

2 Dash bottled hot pepper sauce or to taste ( optional )

1 package Kaiser rolls or hamburger buns. ( split and toasted optional )
 

Preparation / Directions:


Directions 1. In a large skillet cook meat until until brown. Drain off fat.In separate covered skillet saute vegetables using 1 tablespoon of olive oil until tender. Stir in tomato sauce, water, relish , Worcestershire sauce, garlic, salt, and hot pepper sauce and sauted vegetables Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer uncovered for about 45 minutes stirring occasionally Serve on rolls. 2. Makes about 20 sandwiches ( This recipe can be doubled for a crowd )
