Ingredients:


3 medium tomatillos -- fresh, husked and washed

2 cloves garlic -- unpeeled

3 medium chiles chipotles in adobo sauce -- seeded

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons water

2 teaspoons adobo sauce from chiles -- optional
 

Preparation / Directions:


Roast the tomatillos until blackened and soft. Roast the garlic until soft, then peel and chop. Place all the ingredients in a blender and puree. If smokier flavored is desired, add a teaspoon or two of the sauce from the chiles chipotle
