Mushroom Topped Pork Chops

Ingredients:


4 chops center cut loin pork chops -- cut 1 inch thick

1 piece fat

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1/2 pound mushrooms -- sliced

1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup -- 10 1/2 oz

Preparation / Directions:


Trim fat from pork chops. Place piece of fat in a large skillet. Cook over medium flame until pan is well greased; discard fat. Place pork chops in skillet and sprinkle with pepper. Cook over medium flame until browned on both sides; remove from pan. Add mushrooms to pan and saute, stirring until lightly browned and liquid has evaporated. Stir in cream of mushroom soup. Arrange chops in sauce. Cook, covered, over low flame for about 30 minutes or until meat is fork tender.
