Granny Smith Pork - Flavorful Seasons

Ingredients:


1 teaspoon canola oil

1 1/2 pounds boneless pork -- cut into 1/2-inch cubes

4 medium granny smith apples -- cored and sliced into 1/2-inch wedges

1 cup dry white wine

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1/4 cup cider vinegar

3 tablespoons cornstarch or arrowroot powder

2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon fresh ground pepper and salt -- to taste
 

Preparation / Directions:


Heat the oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork and brown on all sides. Add the apple slices and saut‚‚ for 3 minutes. Add 1/2 cup of the wine, reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes. Mix the other 1/2 cup of wine together with the remaining ingredients and add to the skillet. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sauce thickens. 6 servings/Serving size: 3 oz
