Basic Candy Popcorn

Ingredients:


1/2 cup water

1 cup sugar

3/8 cup white corn syrup

1 tablespoons butter

3 dashes oil of peppermint *

2 drops food coloring

1/2 cup popcorn -- popped
 

Preparation / Directions:


In a heavy saucepan put the water, sugar, corn syrup and butter. Cook over a moderate heat to 280~ on a candy thermomter. Add the oil and the food coloring. Stir well and pour over the popped corn.
