Pizza Cornbread

Ingredients:


1/4 cup Land O Lakes butter

1 cup cornmeal

1 cup all purpose flour

4 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup Land O Lakes Mozzarella Cheese -- (3 oz.) shredded

1/2 cup coarsely chopped pepperoni

1 cup milk

1/2 cup Land O Lakes Sour Cream (Regular -- Light or No Fat)

1 large egg
 

Preparation / Directions:


1. Heat oven to 425 F. In 9 inch round cake pan or 8 inch square baking pan melt butter in oven. 2. In large bowl combing cornmeal, flour baking powder, Italian seasoning and salt. Stir in 1/2 cup cheese and pepperoni. 3. In small bowl combine milk, sour cream and egg. Add to cornmeal mixture with melted butter; stir just until moistened. 4. Spoon batter into pan. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Immediately sprinkle with remaining cheese. Serve Warm.
