Old Fashioned Cream Pie

Ingredients:


1 cup sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla

4 tablespoons flour

2 tablespoons melted butter

1 large egg yolk

1 pint whipping cream
 

Preparation / Directions:


Mix until well blended, but do not whip. Cook until heated. Do not boil. Pour into unbaked pie shell and bake at 425F for 15 minutes, then reduce heat to 325F for 40 minutes. A side note by me... when you heat that up in a saucepan, you have to keep stirring it slowly, constantly. Don't let it start to make a 'skin' on the bottom of the pan. It's kind of a pain, but it will be worthwhile when you taste it. (You might try sprinkling cinnamon on top if you like. ...I li
