GREEN APPLE PIE

Ingredients:


---PASTRY:

1 1/4 cups Flour

2 tablespoons Lard

2 tablespoons Butter

1 dash Salt

1 Cup enough Ice Water to make stiff dough

---FILLING:

5 medium Peel and slice enough tart Green Apples to fill a 9 inch tin.

1 Cup Mix 1 cup Brown Sugar

1 tablespoons Flour
 

Preparation / Directions:


PASTRY: Sprinkle pastry in pan with about 2 T Flour and Sugar mixture. Put Apples in layers alternating with Sugar and Flour mixture. FILLING: Melt 1/2 cup Butter and pour over Apples. Arrange pastry strips over Apples and dot with Butter over tops of strips. Sprinkle 1 T Granulated Sugar evenly over top of pie. Bake in pre-heated oven,450d, for about 10 mins., then lower heat to 350d and bake for 30 mins., or until done.
