Almond Delight Pie

Ingredients:


1 package vanilla-flavor pudding and pie filling {6-serving size}

10 1/2 cups milk

1 crust baked 9 inch pie shell -- cooled

1 1/3 cups prepared whipped topping mix or frozen whipped topping

1/3 cup slivered almonds -- toasted

1/8 teaspoon almond extract
 

Preparation / Directions:


1. Prepare pie filling mix with milk as directed on package for pie; cool 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. 2. Measure 1 cup; cover with waxed paper or plastic wrap and chill thoroughly. 3. Pour remaining pie filling into pie shell; chill. 4. Blend 1 cup of prepared whipped topping, almonds and extract into measured pie filling; spread over filling in pie shell. 5. Chill 4 hours; garnish with remaining whipped topping and additional toasted almonds, if desired.
