Mama's Lasagna (Low Fat)

Ingredients:


1 pound ground turkey breast

3/4 tablespoons onion -- chopped

16 ounces tomatoes -- canned

12 ounces tomato paste

2 cups water

1 tablespoons parsley -- ground

2 teaspoons salt -- optional

1 teaspoon sugar

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon pepper

1/2 teaspoon oregano

16 ounces lasagna noodles cooked and drained

16 ounces nonfat ricotta cheese

16 ounces fat free shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup fat free grated parmesan cheese topping
 

Preparation / Directions:


1) Brown turkey and onion in a non-stick skillet sprayed with butter flavor cooking spray. Drain using colander. Rinse with water to remove any excess fat. 2) Rinse skillet with water and dry. Return meat mixture to skillet. Add to mixture in skillet tomatoes, tomato paste, water, parsley, salt, sugar, garlic powder, pepper, and oregano. Simmer over low heat for 45 minutes. 3) Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Coat a 13x9x2 inch-baking pan with cooking spray. Layer in prepared baking pan noodles, sauce, Ricotta cheese, and Mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers ending with Mozzarella cheese on top. 4) Bake in oven for 30 to 45 minutes. Served with grated Parmesan cheese topping.
