Pasta With Broccoli

1 medium onion chopped
1/2 cup white wine or chicken broth
1 bunch fresh broccoli
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
3 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup olive oli
12 ounces pasta cooked
4 cloves garlic minced
1/2 cup grated cheese for topping

Preparation / Directions:

Wash and cut broccoli into bite size pieces. Cook in salted water until crisp. Drain well and set aside. In a pan, melt butter in olive oil. Saute onion until translucent. Add broccoli, and wine or broth and simmer 3 minutes. Add salt and pepper. In a large bowl mix drained pasta with broccoli mixture. Toss well. Serve immediately with grated cheese for topping.
