Grilled Italian Sausages With Carmelized Onions

Ingredients:


4 links italian sausages

1/4 cup olive oil

1 tablespoon unsalted butter

3 medium Onions -- slivered

1/2 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper

1 tablespoon sherry vinegar
 

Preparation / Directions:


1. Heat the oil and butter in a large heavy saucepan. 2. Add the onions and pepper and saute until completely wilted, slowly stirring occasionally 35 to 40 minutes. 3. Add the sherry vinegar, stir, and cook an additional 15 minutes. Serve hot over grilled Italian sausages or other grilled meats. Can also be served cold.
