Mushroom Parmesan Crostini

Ingredients:


1 tablespoon olive or vegetable oil

1 clove garlic -- finely chopped

1 cup chopped mushrooms

1 loaf Italian or French bread -- (about 12 inches long) cut into 12 slices and toasted

3/4 cup Ragu Pizza Quick Sauce

1/4 cup grated Parmesan Cheese

1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh basil leaves or 1 teaspoon dried basil leaves
 

Preparation / Directions:


Preheat oven to 375 F. In 8 inch nonstick skillet, heat oil over medium heat and cook garlic 30 seconds. Add mushrooms and cook, stirring occasionally, 2 minutes or until liquid evaporates. On baking sheet, arrange bread slices. Evenly spread Ragu Pizza Quick Sauce on bread slices, then top with mushroom mixture, cheese and basil. Bake 15 minutes or until heated through. Recipe Tip: Many varieties of wild mushrooms are available in supermarkets and specialty stores. Shiitake, portobello and cremini mushrooms all have excellent flavor. Servings: 12
