Quick Flour Tortillas

Ingredients:


1 pound flour

1/4 cup lard

2 teaspoons salt

1 cup water
 

Preparation / Directions:


Place the flour in a bowl cut in the lard to the size of crumbs dissolve the salt in the water add to flour mixture and stir to mix knead until soft and elastic with greased hands, form into 1-1/2 inch balls place dough ball onto a lightly floured board rollout to an 8-inch diameter round heat an ungreased griddle or skillet over a moderate flame place tortillas, one at a time into skillet or on griddle until lightly toasted and dry on both sides place into a basket cover with a towel serve warm
