Ingredients:


12 whole flour tortillas

12 whole thin slices boneless ham

1 pound monterey jack cheese -- cut into 1/2 inch sticks

1 can green chiles -- cut into 1/4 inch strips

1 teaspoon paprika

---cheese sauce

1/4 cup butter or margarine

1/2 cup flour

1 quart milk

1 teaspoon prepared mustard

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon msg (optional)

1 dash pepper

3/4 pound grated cheddar cheese
 

Preparation / Directions:


Place butter or margarine in a large bowl, or 2 quart casserole. Microwave at high (100%) until melted, 1 minute. Stir in flour. Blend in milk, mustard, salt, MSG and pepper. Microwave at high (100%) until thickened, 7 minutes, stirring occasionally during cooking. Stir in cheese. Microwave at high (100%) until cheese is melted, 2 minutes. Place one slice of ham on each tortilla Put one stick of cheese in center of ham slice, and top with strip of chili. Roll tortilla and secure with wooden picks. Place rolled tortillas in two 2 quart baking dishes. Pour 1/2 the cheese sauce over each dish. Sprinkle with paprika Cover with wax paper. Microwave, one dish at a time, at high (100%) 8 to 10 minutes. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
