Indian Curry Chole With Raisins

Ingredients:


1 can chickpeas or garbanzo beans -- (15 oz)

1 can crushed or diced tomatoes -- (15 oz)

3 medium boiled potatoes -- chopped

1/2 cup white raisins

1 large onion -- chopped

2 teaspoons minced garlic

2 teaspoons minced ginger root

2 tablespoons hot curry paste -- (or)

3 tablespoons curry powder

1 teaspoon coriander powder

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1 teaspoon chili powder

1 teaspoon salt
 

Preparation / Directions:


Saute onions, garlic and ginger in (as little as possible) olive oil. Add tomatoes, and continue frying. Add all the spices and continue sauteing for about 5 min. Add chick peas, potatoes and raisins let simmer about 15 min. and serve alone or over rice.
