Ingredients:


1 medium cucumber sliced rounds

1 medium Onion sliced rounds

1 small ridge-gourd peeled and sliced round

8 medium ajwain leaves washed clean whole -- (8 to 10)

1 medium potato peeled and sliced round

1 1/2 cups flour

1/2 cup rice flour

1 teaspoon salt to taste

1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds

2 tablespoons Oil for deep fry
 

Preparation / Directions:


Do not slice the vegetables too thick or too thin. Mix flours, salt, cumin seeds, turmeric to make a batter for dipping. Heat oil to deep fry. When hot, add a tablespoon to the batter and mix. Dip the vegetables, slice by slice and slide into the hot oil. Fry on medium heat till golden brown. Serve hot with sauce or chutney as desired.
