Alu Mattar Ki Sabji - Curried Potatoes and Peas

Ingredients:


6 medium potatoes

2 tablespoons green peas -- fresh or frozen

1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds

1/4 teaspoon ground tumeric

1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper

2 teaspoons ground coriander

1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

1/2 teaspoon garam masala

1 teaspoon salt -- to taste

1/3 cup vegetable oil
 

Preparation / Directions:


1. Wash and peel poatoes; cut into 1 inch cubes. 2. Heat vegetable oil and fry cumin seeds. When Seed start to burst add akk tge ungredients except garam masala. Cover and cook on low heat for 15 minutes. 3. Add 2 teaspoons water and continue cooking for 5 minutes. Add garam masala and cook for another 10 minutes.
