Preparation / Directions:An accompaniment to Dosai, Chapati, etc.
Heat oil, fry channa dal until golden brown. Add dash of hing and crackle mustard. Sauté onions and green chiles until golden brown. Throw in a few (ca 4) cups of water, add ginger and salt. Let cook for a while. Mash potatoes and dump into above.
