Lasoon Chutney - Garlic Chutney

Ingredients:


5 cloves garlic -- 5-6, sliced

1 cup coconut shreds -- unsweetened

1 tablespoon cumin seed -- whole

3 pieces red chiles -- 3-4, dried

2 tablespoons sesame seeds

2 tablespoons tamarind pulp -- seedless

1/4 cup peanuts -- unsalted

1/2 teaspoon salt -- or to taste
 

Preparation / Directions:


Roast all of the above ingredients independently with the exception of the salt in a dry skillet until they turn reddish brown in color. Grind them in a coffee mill and serve either dry as a condiment or serve with ghee.
