Mandarin Chocolate Ice Cream

Ingredients:


1 1/2 ounces bittersweet chocolate

5 large egg yolks

3/4 cup sugar

2 cups half-and-half

5 tablespoons cocoa powder

2 cups table cream

1 1/2 teaspoons orange extract
 

Preparation / Directions:


Beat eggs yolks together with 1/2 cup sugar Melt chocolate over low heat Warm half-and-half to a near boil Mix heated half-and-half with cocoa powder and 1/4 cup sugar. Add to melted chocolate. Add heated half-and-half/chocolate mixture to beaten egg yolks Cool. Add cream and orange extract. Freeze in ice cream maker.
