Irish Cream Ice Cream

Ingredients:


1 quart half and half

1 cup white sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup irish creme liqueur

3 large eggs

---enough milk to bring to half gallon
 

Preparation / Directions:


Blend together half and half, white sugar, brown sugar, liqueur, eggs, and milk. Freezer in ice cream freezer according to manufacturers directions. Serve with fresh strawberries and brownies. (This freezes as a left over very well, the liqueur causes it to stay somewhat soft.) This was a wonderful experiment with flavoring that I did one hot summer night. We had guests sitting on the front porch with us and lots of strawberries to share. I made this flavor of ice cream by chance and now wouldn't serve any other. We love front porch weather here at the Inn, it's like sitting there with Aunt Bea and Andy. I heard a man on the radio say, that's what's wrong with our neighborhoods today, no front porches to sit on and visit each other.
