Seven-Minute Frosting

Ingredients:


2 large egg whites

1 1/2 cups sugar

1/4 Teaspoon cream of tartar

1/3 cup water

1 Teaspoon vanilla
 

Preparation / Directions:


Combine in top of double boiler over hot (not boiling) water. Beat with a rotary beater or hand-held electric mixer until mixture holds its shape (about 7 minutes). Fold in 1 tsp. vanilla. Frost cake when both cake and frosting have cooled.
