Chile Con Queso - 3

Ingredients:


2 tablespoons butter or margarine

1 medium onion -- chopped

1 clove garlic -- , pressed

4 ounces chopped green chiles

1 can evaporated milk

1 pound American cheese -- cut in 3/4 inch cubes

1 can Ro-Tel tomato and green chiles -- , cut up

1/2 teaspoon Tabasco sauce -- to taste

1/2 teaspoon salt -- to taste
 

Preparation / Directions:


Melt butter in top of double boiler or in bowl in microwave oven. Add onion and garlic. Cook until limp; then add remaining ingredients. Cook until thick. Serve with tortilla chips. Serve in chafing dish to keep hot.
