English Toffee Dessert

Ingredients:


3/4 Cup sugar

1/2 Cup whipping cream

1/4 Cup light corn syrup

2 Tablespoons butter or margarine

2 bars English toffee-flavored candy bars -- (1 1/8-ounce) crushed

4 Cups fresh strawberries -- halved

1 cup sour cream
 

Preparation / Directions:


Combine first 4 ingredients in a small saucepan; cook over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil. Boil 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; add candy. Stir well; cool. (Sauce thickens as it cools.) Place strawberries in serving dishes; dollop each serving with 2 tablespoons sour cream. Top with 2 to 3 tablespoons toffee sauce. Makes 8 servings.
